About sinkholes

Sinkholes fascinate me as this intersection between geology and biology, between slow change and frenetic adapting. Earth gives way. The remaining void exposes millennia of natural history shown through the fossil record. And in that void flora and fauna race to fill the gaps whether that space is wet or dry.

An NFT photo-hybrid project

I’ve been capturing sinkhole images off and on for almost 20 years as a part of my photography, but now I want to focus on the details of sinkholes through landscape and macro photography as well as video loops, ambient sound capture, plus other experimental immersion techniques. Photography will be the main thing. Other stuff will be bonus drops, some 1/1s and other fun things.

Roadmap

Phase 1 — Token mint — Summer 2022

• Build a small but engaged group of supporters that appreciate the photos as art but also are incentivized to share with others.
• Mint 81 tokens because there are 81 different types of karsts. Most karsts are sinkholes but not all. Thought this was a good number.
• Offer 40 reserved listing signups with option for 1 or 2 tokens at 0.035 ETH each. 5% creator fees.
• Unreserved tokens will have public listing for 0.05 ETH.
